In 2014 the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day without Kobe Bryant eventually losing by 20 points. Each year on Kobe Bryant's birthday (August 23) Nike releases a performance retro version of a Kobe Bryant shoe in the 'Halo' colorway. This year they've chosen the Kobe 9 as the canvas with the Kobe 9 high top dropping on August 23 for $240, but the low cut version is dropping on September 19 for $210.
